About the Vessel
F. D. Crockett is a log-built Chesapeake buy boat constructed in 1924 by Alexander Gains in Seaford, Va. for Ferdinand Crockett. After a long history on the bay she went into disrepair and was destined to die until thankfully restored by the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in Deltaville.
