The museum tells the story of Denmark as one of the world’s leading maritime nations,

Krigsmuseet

The museum contains a large selection of items from the former ‘Orlogsmuseet’ (Naval Museum). The history of the Danish Navy from the start of the 16th century to the present day is told through ship models and other miniatures, as well as large tableaus of iconic naval battles from Denmark’s history.

Trondhjems Sjøfartsmuseum

The exhibits include models of sailing ships, figureheads, marine instruments and pictures of local sailing ships. The museum has a comprehensive archive on ships and captains.

Ålands Sjöfartsmuseum

Models are displayed on a uniform scale so differences can be easily discerned. Separate or joint ticket entry with the museum ship Pommern.

Norges Fiskerimuseum

Interactive displays on the history of the local fishing industry, located in old fish warehouses.

Kure Maritime Museum

The main attraction is a 1:10 scale model of the battleship Yamato, measuring 26.3m (86’3″) in impressive detail.

Museum aan de Stroom

Focused on Antwerp and its connection to the world, the collections include objects from the former National Maritime Museum.

Red Star Line Museum

Two million passengers traveled from Antwerp to North America on board Red Star Line ships. The museum focuses on their stories, that of the Red Star Line that transported them. and that of Antwerp.

National Maritime Museum

The museum has the most important holdings in the world on the history of Britain at sea, comprising more than two million items, including maritime art, cartography, manuscripts, ship models and plans, scientific and navigational instruments, instruments for time-keeping and astronomy.
