Use this form to add a new shop note. Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk (*). After selecting the shop note type and excerpt, you will be directed to the new shop note page in draft form. Use the edit link to add text and photos. Don’t forget to add a featured image, found on the right-hand side of the edit window. When you are finished editing you can publish the note.

Shop Note Type
This is a hierarchical list. Please select the most specific applicable categories. It is no longer necessary to select all antecedents for the sake of searches. If you only select “Plank-on-Frame” and someone searches for “Hull Construction”, your note will be included in the results. Prior to June 2026, this was not the case.
Please contact the website administrator if you think a new category is needed.
